CRY LATER

Something always told me
That I'd look back on all these tears I've cried
And it would simply make me laugh

You were always tearing me apart
Shredding my flesh, intently
But at the same time I loved your touch
I was left with breathing room

You held the depths of eternal Hell in your eyes
And of course you kept those lies in the sky
With me tied to your bleeding cries
Strapped down with no defense

But you aren't the only one laughing now
I finished last
But I still finished in first place
I have overtaken your shackles

You always used to tell me not to beg
But look how you treated me
Like an innate dog
A dog trained at your every command
I wanted a little reward for my efforts
But anything for me was too big a task for you
I guess after all I have to understand

Something always told me
That’d I’d look back on all these tears I’ve cried
And it would simply make me laugh
