KAMIKAZE

The stench of a dying heart lingers here
In the exposed matter
Of fluctuating timelines
That fuse together when they melt
And combine as one when they freeze

Jagged winter envelopes the remains of this life
But numb and callous fingers
Feel no change in atmosphere
When the sleet patters down
Like debris falling from kamikazes
After the destruction
Has pillaged the innocent dreams
Inside me

Particles cover the ground
But they are too sharp and they sting
When eyes bear their form
In a shadowy defeat

Silence screams
In the ears of the sea
Causing tsunamis to erupt
And slam watery blows
To a tortured soul

Silhouettes of harmony
Chained to dungeon walls
Left to be punished
For their deceptions
And frail comparisons
With serenity

Ivory flakes break free from the sky
And fall continuously
Until they form a damp blanket
Sheathing the earth
In a blistering embrace

Cocoons woven
To hold grace never unveiled
And their contents lost forever
In a vacuum
Created by the tranquility
That you used to tell me
Protected our love
And I am caught in its whirlpool
To drown here without you
