YOUR ANGEL HAS COME

Good morning my love
How was your night?
The way you look right now
Says it wasn’t all right

Don’t cry, please stop the tears
Your angel has come
Embrace in my beautiful presence
Let go and feel your body go numb

Was it lonely because I wasn’t there?
To hug you and hold you near
To kiss you tenderly
And my voice, you couldn’t hear?

This may all seem so
But think about it
Can you tell me you didn’t feel me there?
I highly doubt it

I was secretly spying on you
Last night while you wept
I crept up beside your bed
As you uncomfortably slept

At moments, you extended your hand
But I wasn’t there
You pulled it back, disappointed
For all you touched was air

You looked at my picture
With tears streaming down your face
I cried out to you
But you didn’t feel a trace

I was so close
But yet so far from you
I tried to touch your face
But my hand severed straight through

I felt a tickle in my eye
A tear fell, the deepest of red
You see, when angels cry
The tears are merely bled

I extended my hand
To wipe my tears
Then the image of you
Slowly disappeared

As you began to reemerge
You were alone upon a cloud
I considered not disturbing you
But then remembered what I had vowed

I cautiously approached you
Fluttered around you
I could tell you felt me near
I worried about what to do

I tried to touch you
My attempt failed
Then I attempted kissing you
That I definitely nailed

You kissed me back
While placing you hand on my cheek
I looked up to you
You’re eyes began to leak

Don’t cry, please stop the tears
Your angel has come
Embrace in my beautiful presence
Let go and feel your body go numb

Then I whispered
“Good morning my love
How was your night?”
You spoke softly as you replied
“I thought it was terrible but it turned out just right
With you there by my side”
